After two league defeats, the Wellmen got back to winning ways on Saturday after a 3-2 win at Mold Alex

Holywell Town started brightly and had the majority of the possession but couldnt make it count but the deadlock was finally broken on 27 minutes as Jamie Breese picked up a great ball by Danny Andrews, and cooly chipped the ball over the advancing keeper.

The lead did not last a long time as a minute ir so later, the home side equalised through Seydou Bamba, who flicked on Matty Lewis' long throw in. The Wellmen did not have to wait too long to regain the lead as Jake Roberts fired home from 20 yards after Danny Andrews had laid the ball to him.

The second half was a few minutes old when Shaun Pearson was forced to save well from Ellis Hickey and despite creating chances, the Wellmen could not add to their lead. The game entered the final ten minutes and with Town still looking for a third, disaster struck as the home side drew level, Owen Cordiner firing home the loose ball after a bit of a scramble in penalty area.

The game entered injury time and the Wellmen thought they had grabbed a winner after a goalmouth scramble the other end of the pitch but the match officials did not deem the ball had fully crossed the line. With the match looking like it was going to end in a draw, Jamie Breese had other ideas and following a good move involving Jake Roberts, he tapped in at the far post to give Town the victory.

The supporters who made the journey to Mold cheered their team off at the end and all eyes are now focused on the tough away trio to Llay Welfare on Friday night.
