Holywell Town are on their travels this evening as for the 1st big match in less than a week.

The Wellmen travel to Llanrwst United knowing that 2 points is all that is mathematically needed to clinch the Welsh Alliance League Championship.

But with Town’s far superior goal difference, a point tonight will be enough to claim the crown from current runners up Llandudno Junction. Town know that tonight’s game will not be easy despite beating the Roosters 7-1 at Halkyn Road back in January. Tonight’s game will be a different ball game as Town will be looking to beat us given our circumstances and also they are after points to climb out of the bottom two with games running out. Victory tonight for the Wellmen will set them up nicely for Saturday’s FAW Trophy final against Penrhyndeudraeth which is to be played at Llandudno FC.

Sam Jones was on the scoresheet for the Wellmen on Saturday, scoring from the penalty spot and Jones will be looking to add to his tally this evening as he aims to win the Welsh Alliance Top Goal scrorer award for the second year running. Phil Lloyd is hot on his heels however and he will also be looking to fire in the goals for the Wellmen in the matches remaining.

The Wellmen are hoping for a good turn out of supporters this evening cheering them on, and hearing the support given by Supporters of late gives the players a massive boost as they step onto the pitch ahead of the game.

If you haven’t been to Llanrwst before, directions are given below:

Directions:
Take the A55 to Llandudno Junction and leave the A55 and follow signs for Betws y Coed. Travel down the A470 and drive through Llanrwst and when leaving the Town Centre, turn right over a narrow bridge and the ground is on your left.
Distance: 40 miles Time: Approx 50 minutes

Don’t forget that kick off this evening is 6.30pm and if you can make it, we look forward to seeing you cheer on the lads, to hopefully promotion to the Cymru Alliance League!

See you there…..
