At Saturday afternoon's Welsh Alliance League AGM ceremony, Holywell Town picked up a few awards for their achievements over the past season. Leading the way for the club was Sam Jones who picked up two awards for Leading Goalscorer for 2013/14 and also picked up the Player of the Year award after picking up 12 Man of the Match awards as voted by the opposing team.
Manager John Haseldin also picked up an Outstanding Achievement award at the ceremony in recognition of Town reaching the Semi Final of the Welsh Cup, a first for a club from the 3rd tier of Welsh Football.
Town were also once again presented with the Cookson Cup following their cup final win over Llanrug United and also presented with the new Welsh Alliance Runners Up trophy.
Manager John Haseldin later tweeted: "The outstanding achievement award should have been for the team and also well deserved awards for the skipper Sam Jones. Time to put last season behind us and look forward to the new one, let's make some more history!"
