Holywell Development Team have booked their place in the next round of the FAW Reserve League North Cup after beating Denbigh Town Reserves on penalties.
The game finished 2-2 after 90 minutes.
Denbigh opened the scoring in the 22nd minute when Kanli headed home after Denbigh has been applying plenty of pressure and hitting the bar minutes before. It was one way traffic for a lot of the first half.
However, in the 36th minute, Caelan McGovern equalised.
Holywell took the lead from a nice set piece routine with Peters assisting McGovern for his second of the game.
It looked like it was going to end that way but Denbigh scored in injury time to make it 2-2 through Fricker.
And so it was penalties that would decide the match.Denbigh scored only 1 out of 4 taken with Holywell scoring 3 out of 3.
Well done lads. On to the next round. Thanks to Denbigh for their hospitality and good luck for the remainder of their season.
