The Wellmen Faced Ruthin Town at Bala Town's Maes Tegid looking to continue their good run of form.
It was Ruthin Town who started the better of the teams and they created a couple of chances in the first 10 minutes. First chance fell to Sam Jones but his shot went wide, then Harry Martin shot on goal forcing Shaun Pearson to pull off a great save. The Wellmen's first real chance came around 20 minutes into the game, Morgan Murray doing well down the right, he laid the ball off to Danny Andrews but his shot was saved by Daniel Goldston.
The deadlock was broken on the half hour mark and it was Holywell Town who took the lead. A Danny Andrews corner is met by Danny Sullivan who rises well and heads the ball into the bottom corner of the goal. Ruthin Town nearly got a quick equaliser but for another good save by Pearson, this time denying Llyr Morris.
The Wellmen had the one goal advantage at the half time interval and came out for the second half and were the better team as the half begun. Luca Hogan was creating problems down the left and one attack, he burst forward, cut inside on the edge of the box and fired in goalwards and his shot was blocked and came out towards the onrushing Ryan Edwards but his fierce drive flew over the bar.
The Wellmen gave them selves a two goal cushion on 56 minutes as Jamie Breese (pictured) grabbed Town's second of the game. Danny Andrews with another great corner into the far post, Danny Sullivan got a touch to knock it back across the goal and Breese was there to tap the ball home.
Two minutes later, Ruthin Town won a penalty and up stepped Daniel Holland to take it. He blazed the spot kick high over the bar meaning the Wellmen kept their two goal cushion. The Wellmen continued to press looking to grab a third to seal the victory but despite a lot of the play, were unable to test Goldston in the Ruthin goal. The home side themselves didn't sit back and themselves tried to get back into the game but anything they threw at the Wellmen, the defence kept firm and thwarted any chances.
The last chance of the game fell to the home side, Morris picking up the ball and fired goalwards and Pearson had to react well to tip the ball over the crossbar for a corner which came to nothing.
The Referee blew for full time and it was another good victory for the Wellmen ahead of Tuesday's big game against Colwyn Bay at the Barton's North Wales Stadium.
