James spent 15 hours in hospital after suffering a dislocation to his knee Friday night away at Llandudno.
He is now at home recovering, with further examinations needed once the swelling goes down to find out the full extent of the injury and how long it will keep him out the game.
Everyone at the club wishes James a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him playing for us again in the not so distant future.
Manager John Hasledin said, “James is a very important player for us, not just for what he contributes as a footballer and a captain but as a person as well.
Over the last 3/4 years he's worked incredibly hard to get himself at a good level again and I've no doubts that he will be back leading the team out again as soon as physically possible.
I am gutted for him more than anything else and the incident has overshadowed what was a really good performance from us on Friday night.
We will support James as much as possible and knowing him the best way we can do that as a group is to keep winning football matches.”
On behalf of everyone connected with the Wellmen, Get well soon James!.
