The second half gets underway and an early chance falls to the home side, a good cross in and Mehasseb’s header smashes against the crossbar. A few minutes later, the Wellmen win a corner, Danny Andrews ball into the box finds Danny Sullivans but his header falls inches wide of the post. Jamie Breese then goes close, good play between Danny Andrews and Morgan Murray sees the ball come to Breese who fires in a shot which flies inches over the bar.
Bala withstand the Wellmen pressure and they have the next effort on goal but its straight at Feenan. Moments later, the home side double their lead. Winning a free kick, Nathan Peate’s low ball into the box is turned home by Mehasseb for his second goal of the game. Looking to increase their lead, Bala’s Kieran Lloyd bursts into the box but his shot is easily gathered by Fennan.
The Wellmen didn’t give up, and as the 4th official indicated there would be 3 additional minutes to be played, good play between Macauley Taylor and Beau Cornish sees a good ball over towards the far post, but it’s just a little too high for Cooke to get a touch, then the last attack see’s Beau Cornish with a good low ball into the box which is cleared by the Bala defender with Jamie Breese ready to pounce.
The referee blew for full time and despite the scoreline, the Wellmen can be proud of their display this evening and were far from disgraced against their Welsh Premier League opposition
