The Wellmen created most of the early chances and took the lead with 28 minutes on the clock through Sam Duffy, who controlled the ball well on the edge of the area before firing into the bottom corner to register his first senior goal for the club.
The home side equalised on 58 minutes through former red Iwan Rogers, who fired in a good free kick and despite getting a hand to it, goalkeeper Mike Platt could not prevent it from hitting the net.
The Wellmen didn't have too long to find themselves ahead again, as Dave Forbes, who had come on as sub minutes earlier, fired the Wellmen ahead from the Penalty Spot. (pictured)
Tom Bibby went close later on in the game, forcing goalkeeper Lewys Thomson-Williams to pull off a great save pushing the ball past his left hand post. The home side put the Wellmen under pressure late on in the game trying to force the game into Penalty Kicks, but the Wellmen kept their cool and thwarted any threats on their goal and the referee blew for full time and booked their place in the 4th round.
It was a good performance by the lads and news of the draw for the next round will be made as soon as it is known.
