It was a good start to the game for both sides with play going from end to end and the first chance of the afternoon fell to Jake Cooke, he burst through the defence and skipped past a couple of challenges but his shot was saved by the visitors goalkeeper. the next chance of the afternoon fell to Mold Alex, Callum Mannion on the break but Shaun Pearson is out quickly and saves at the feet of Mannion.
Next chance of the afternoon fell to prolific marksman Jamie Breese, the ball fell kindly to him but his shot flashed past the far post, then midway through the half another chance falls to Breese but again he is unable to find the target.
With 5 minutes of the half remaining, the Wellmen took a deserved lead. The Wellmen win a corner and Danny Andrews cross is met by Danny Sullivan who heads home past Joseph Smith to give the Wellmen the advantage. It was no more than the Wellmen deserved as they went off for the half time interval.
The second half got underway and both sides had chances but were unable to test the opposing keepers, and the Wellmen were forced into a change around the hour mark as Goalkeeper Shaun Pearson fell awkwardly in a challenge and after a lengthy delay as he received treatment, he was forced off and as the Wellmen had no substitute keepers on the bench, Gareth Evans stepped up between the sticks in replace of the injured Pearson.
Midway through the half, Sullivan very nearly got his and Town's second of the match but his header from Ilan Ap Gareth's corner flew over the bar, then the visitors nearly found themselves on level terms as a good cross into the box hits Ryan Edwards but luckily flew past the post for a corner which came to nothing. As the game reached the 90th minute, the Wellmen break well and Jamie Breese bursts forward and lays the ball off to Mark Winslade but his shot hits a Mold defender which takes the sting out of his shot and is easily gathered by Smith, then in the 97th minute, a free kick into the far post again finds Sullivan but his looping header lands on the roof of the net. A minute later, another chance for Town as Breese bursts through and his shot across goal goes wide, before the visitors trying desperately for eh equaliser saw the ball fall kindly to Owen Cordiner but his shot from a good position flew over the bar.
After close to 15 minutes added injury time, the referee blew for full time and the Wellmen went off the pitch with all three points and remain 3rd in the JD Cymru League North
